- Period correct: Canon lens hood for 50/1.5 (rare), not really a hood, but an adapter for 40mm to a large Series VII filter, and that has a Series VII hood.
- Period correct: Canon also made clamp-on hoods for their 40mm filter thread lenses, which could be an alternative, as some of them provide options for a Series VII filter in there.
- Period correct: Walz & Hoya supposedly made 40mm hoods as well, but we have yet to hold those in our hands
- Modern: Fuji lenshood, LH-X10. These are around 60 USD/EURO, however can be found as replicas for as cheap as 5 euro/dollar.
