Leitz Elmarit 28mm f/2.8 Version II, made in Canada in 1978. Serial number 2886070 places this example towards the end of second-version production, before the introduction of the Version III in 1979. A classic Leica M wide-angle with the eight-element, pre-ASPH optical design.

The barrel is in used condition with signs of use. The glass has very minor cleaning marks, invisible to the naked eye under normal inspection. They can only be seen when shining light through the lens and looking through it from the rear. These have no impact on the photographs.

Comes with an original Leica rear cap and an aftermarket clip-on front cap.

Description

Leitz Elmarit 28mm f/2.8 Version II, gemaakt in Canada in 1978. Serienummer 2886070 plaatst dit exemplaar tegen het einde van de productie van de tweede versie, vóór de introductie van de Version III in 1979. Een klassieke Leica M-groothoek met het optische ontwerp van acht elementen, zonder asferische elementen.

De behuizing verkeert in gebruikte staat met gebruikssporen. Het glas heeft zeer lichte poetsspoortjes die bij normale inspectie met het blote oog niet zichtbaar zijn. Ze zijn alleen te zien wanneer je licht door het objectief schijnt en vanaf de achterzijde door het glas kijkt. Deze hebben geen invloed op de foto’s.

Wordt geleverd met een originele Leica achterdop en een aftermarket clip-on voordop.
