Leica M6 Rooster with 50mm Summicron

Leica released a special edition M6 camera in 1993 for the Schmidt Group ; the Leica agency for Southeast Asia. It celebrates the Chinese ‘Rooster’ new year. These were numbered out of the 300, although supposedly, only 268 were made. Making this a quite rare camera.

This particular example has clearly been lovingly used instead of displayed in a cabinet. It comes with its original matching Summicron 50mm lens, which is in perfect condition with no cleaningmarks, scratches, haze or fungus.

We had the camera cleaned, the logo on the front has been replaced with a brand new one. So is the original rewind lever that had a scratch, we replaced it with a brand new one from Leica.

We serviced the camera completely, and it is now in perfect working condition.

A very special collectors items, which can in it’s current ‘user’ condition be a great special workhorse for somebody that wants something really special.
