SKU: 1588397 Categories: , ,

The Leica M4-P was the latest in the line of M4 cameras which started in 1966.

The M4-P was introduced in 1980 after the M5 long ceased production, as a camera for professionals. It combined all the good things from previous cameras and added frame-lines for the whole range of focal lengths as we know them now.

The M4-P can considered to be Leica’s rescue, and continued the classic design, as can be seen in it’s successor, the M6. Without the light meter, it certainly feels as an M6s younger brother, considering they look and feel the same.

This example being offered is a specimen from a batch of 4000 in 1982.

It is in beautiful condition. It also received a CLA, and the shutterspeeds and rangefinder calibration are bang on.
