Leica M2 Rangefinder 0.72 Chrome (button rewind)

1,599.00

SKU: 930833 Categories: ,

The Leica M2 was produced between 1957 and 1968, and came after the Leica M3. The Leica M2 is more suitable for 35mm lenses, as it has framelines for this.

It has a viewfinder magnification of 0.72 instead of the 0.91 of the Leica M3.

The camera being offered here is a very early version from 1958 (2nd year produced), and is one of the first 2000 M2’s built. It is a so called ‘button rewind’ without self-timer and runs extremely smooth. It was probably serviced and/or imported by Odin, the former Leica importer for the Netherlands, as shown by the sticker on the bottom (which is easily removable if you want).

This is one of the cleanest and desirable M2 models.

Camera received a CLA/Service. And is in perfect working condition. The shutterspeeds and rangefinder calibration is spot on.

It is in a beautiful condition as can be seen from the pictures.
