It's a very wide lens without being a fish-eye lens, it's a rectilinear lens. There are 2 versions of this lens one specifically for Canon Rangefinders, and the same lens was also made in a version for SLR camera's. However, the SLR version had almost the same barrel, and exactly the same optical design, and even required you to shoot with the mirror in the up position, so there was no focussing through the lens. Since this is such a wide angle, there is also no need to be very precise with focussing. Almost everything is in focus, especially at f8 where this lens shines. This lens gives crazy flares.

This particular example is a FL version, but comes with the original Canon "LENS MOUNT Converter B" adapter to make it suitable for rangefinder camera's (both LTM & M).

The barrel is in a lovely condition, with here and there some small usermarks. The glass is in very good condition, no scratches, a very tin haze (you have to look real hard to notice it, no impact on contrast), and no fungus. Rear cap is a russian cap, front cap is an original vintage Canon cap. It also comes with a Hama 58mm UV filter attached to it.

]]> Canon 19mm f3.5 FL/LTM was a very special lens in it’s day. It’s a very wide lens without being a fish-eye lens, it’s a rectilinear lens. There are 2 versions of this lens one specifically for Canon Rangefinders, and the same lens was also made in a version for SLR camera’s. However, the SLR version had almost the same barrel, and exactly the same optical design, and even required you to shoot with the mirror in the up position, so there was no focussing through the lens.   • Adjusted minimum focus distance to 0,7 meter, instead of the original 1 meter
  • Painted the inside of the barrel with Black 3.0 to minimize reflections

Glass has no scratches, haze or fungus, but inside there are some very minute cleaning marks, which have absolutely no impact on the pictures.

Just a very nice and special lens with the original filter & cap.
