Canon Vt de luxe

Canon Vt de luxe, maybe Canons best rangefinder? Maybe only be outperformed by the Canon P, but that one lacks the rapidwinder mechanism that this camera has.

This one is an export version (marked with EP), which is a bit hard to find in Europe.

It is in a beautiful condition, and the shutter speeds have been checked and are correct.

Canon 7 Bell & Howell

Canon started producing the 7 in 1961 as the successor of the VI and the P. It was Canons first rangefinder camera with build-in light meter. Some Canon 7s (like this one) were sold in the US branded for Bell & Howell.

The appearance of this Canon 7 is beautiful, and it comes with it’s original Bell & Howell leather casing, is in great working condition, has been checked, and is ready to shoot.

Canon P Rangefinder with Canon 50mm f1.8

Canon produced the P / Populaire between 1958 & 1961. The rangefinder is parallax corrected and has framelines for 35,50 & 100mm lenses. The Canon P has a 1:1 viewfinder, which makes it extremely handy to shoot with 2 eyes open.

This example being offered is in extremely nice condition, and comes with a 50mm f1.8 lens.

Barrel of the lens has very minimal usage marks.

Glass of the lens is in very good condition. No cleaning marks, scratches, haze or fungus.

The camera benefitted from a full CLA by Amsterdam Camera Repairs and has 6 months warranty.

Canon produced the P / Populaire between 1958 & 1961. The rangefinder is parallax corrected and has framelines for 35,50 & 100mm lenses. It has a 1:1 viewfinder! So even better than Leica’s 0.91x magnification.

This example being offered is in extreme nice condition, and comes with a 50mm f1.8 lens.

Glass of the lens is in very good condition. No cleaning marks, scratches, haze or fungus. There is some small dust inside the lens which is pretty usual, and has no effect on the pictures.

The camera benefitted from a full CLA by Amsterdam Camera Repairs and has 6 months warranty.

This example being offered is in extreme nice condition, and comes with a 50mm f1.4 lens (Japanese Summilux).

Barrel of the lens has minimal usage marks.

Glass of the lens is in pristine condition. No cleaningmarks, scratches, haze or fungus.

Shutter has been tested and is correct on all speeds.

Canon 7 Rangefinder

Canon started producing the 7 in 1961 as the successor of the VI and the P. It was Canons first rangefinder camera with builtin light meter.

There were 3 incarnations of this rangefinder, the normal one, the 7s, and the 7zs.

These cameras come with a normal M39 mount for lenses, but also have an bayonet mount to accommodate the Canon 50mm/f0.95 ‘Dreamlens’. This was the only camera (back in the day) that supported this lens.

The rangefinder is parallax corrected and has selectable framelines.

This example being offered is in very nice condition, and comes with an aftermarket body cap.
